Join us for a guided hike where you’ll learn to recognize trees by their leaves and flowers. After exploring, get creative with a leaf rubbing craft to take home. It’s the perfect way to connect with nature and make lasting memories with mom! Meets at the Environmental Education Center. Evening Archery
Environmental Education Center 12400 Holsclaw Hill Rd, FairdaleLearn how to shoot a bow and arrow or improve your skills in this Evening Archery course led by Jefferson Memorial Forest staff and volunteers! You will learn archery safety, proper shooting techniques, proper stance, how to aim, and how to improve your accuracy. Archery is a great upper body workout, and a great way to develop skills like balance, coordination, accuracy, and composure. Bring your friends and family along or make friends during the course! All needed materials will be supplied, but participants can bring bows if they have their own. Program meets in the Horine Reservation of Jefferson Memorial Forest near the Environmental Education Center.
