Get Your Family Outside X-ploring Jefferson Memorial Forest! Throughout the year, your family can join a staff Naturalist on a guided exploration in the forest, while also learning survival skills. Your children will get to play in nature as you once did. Bring water bottles and dress for the weather. Program meets in the Horine Reservation’s Environmental Education Center.
AUGUST 19th – Mud pies and edibles! Who’s ready to play with some mud, sticks, leaves, and seeds? Make your own mud creation at the Crider Mud Cafe in the Nature Explore Classroom, and hike around the Forest learning about wild edibles. We will also visit the Nature Center education animals.
Tickets are $10, and can be purchased by calling 502-368-5404.
